The Noosa Plan 2020 came into effect on 31 July 2020. The planning scheme includes changes to the levels of assessment for particular land uses as well as changes to zones and local plan areas.
Notably, this planning scheme seeks to restrict short-term holiday letting of houses, including existing houses. Previously it allowed for a house to be used for both permanent and short-term accommodation. The new planning scheme separately defines short term accommodation. This change in policy may affect your right to choose how your house may be used.
