A big congratulations to Coast2Bay Housing Group, a quality Sunshine Coast not-for-profit company based in Maroochydore who took out one of the community housing sectors most prestigious awards.
Presented at the Australasian Housing Institute Awards (Qld) last week, Group CEO Andrew Elvin accepted the Leading Housing Development Project Award for Akuna, a new 33 one and two bedroom social housing complex in Beerwah.
This project will provide much needed accommodation for people facing Queensland’s housing crisis particularly older women who are most at risk of homelessness.
Project Urban worked alongside Coast2Bay on this $11.9 million project providing town planning and landscaping services.
Coast2Bay Housing were also recipients of the Leading Innovation award for RISE2 and the Outstanding Achievement award which was presented to Chief Operating Officer, Lee Banfield.
