A hidden new hospitality experience has arrived on the Mooloolaba Esplanade, with Hid Den officially opening on 10 September 2026.
Located at Shop 9, 121 Mooloolaba Esplanade, the intimate 20-seat speakeasy-style bar is concealed behind a vault door within the Mantra building and draws inspiration from Japanese small bars and omakase experiences.
Project Urban provided Town Planning and Liquor Licensing services for the venue, with the Material Change of Use approved in February 2026 and the Commercial Other Bar Licence approved on 26 March 2026. Hid Den is the second venue Project Urban has worked on for the client, following WAT Den cocktail bar.
The concept brings theatre to the cocktail experience, incorporating techniques including liquid nitrogen, smoking and spherified garnishes.
The venue is open Wednesday to Sunday from 5pm to midnight.
