USC Moreton Bay Campus. On track to open in 2020!

Project Urban’s Project Management team are providing superintendency services for construction of this exciting new campus being built on the old Petrie Paper Mill site.

Construction of the $98 million new Moreton Bay Campus project started last September, and will welcome its first students by 2020.  The ground flood slabs were poured last December.  Check out the drone footage showing the hive of activity, ensuring the project stays on track and on time.

The USC Moreton Bay campus is the first step in an ambitious plan that will cater for up to 10,000 students over the next decade.The campus will eventually include additional research, teaching and sporting facilities, modern public spaces, library, residential zones, onsite renewable energy generation and high-tech industry employment.

Here are the project details:

  • $98m Guaranteed Maximum Price building contract
  • Three floors of teaching space, staff accommodation and support infrastructure totalling approximately 10,200m2 of functional floor area 
  • Multi deck car parking for up to 223 cars 
  • 300-seat auditorium
  • Science Super Labs and nursing simulation learning space
  • Chilled water plant and sustainable design
  • Hi-tech IT and audio-visual integration and teaching systems
  • 1.9Ha external green space and recreational facilities.
