Description: Located in central Maroochydore, Sunshine Coast. This project included the demolition of the existing church to make way for a new modern 900 seat Catholic Church. The church was designed to embrace the core values of the Catholic Church whilst adapting to the climatic conditions of South East Queensland. Designed and built to include a series of bi-fold doors for virtually the entire perimeter of the congregation area, the prevailing breezes saved the need and cost of installing climate control. The project consists of a number of bespoke items including purpose-build light fittings and laminated timber portals. We were also instrumental in converting a large and sentimental mango tree which originally stood on the site, into the new crucifix, located above the sanctuary. This project was delivered 1 month ahead of schedule and under budget.
